Hello!

Thanks for visiting my website!

I grew up in Northern California and moved to Louisiana in my 20’s. Art has always been a huge part of my life, from selling post-it note drawings to classmates in elementary school, to painting gifts for my family members. When I chose cosmetology for a career, I was still able to use color and design at work, formulating the perfect hair color for clients and shaping complimentary haircuts. I owned a successful salon in Baton Rouge for years before selling it to focus on my family, and my art.

Louisiana is so beautiful, and I am surrounded by bayous and marshland to inspire me. Capturing the light hitting the moss in the oak trees will always be a fascination to me. Married to an avid hunter has certainly influenced many of my original pieces, from alligators to bass fish to pintail ducks.

Living in a small Cajun town full of history has provided me with a wealth of images from the past and creating paintings using an old black and white photo for reference is a welcome challenge. It is so magical to me the way art can breathe new life into an old image, like stepping into the past!

Art is so personal to the viewer, and commissioned portraits are the heart and soul of my work. Sometimes it is a beloved pet who has crossed the rainbow bridge, or a grandmother who recently passed painted happily reuniting with her husband in heaven. Sometimes the portrait is of a beautiful newlywed couple, and sometimes it is a portrait of the bride and her mother who passed long before the wedding. Creating a memory and heirloom for someone is priceless!

Take a look around, and feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions at all!

Below you’ll see two of the posters I created and these were selected by the Sugarland Music Festival to be their official posters, I’m proud to have contributed.
